ACM News: Participation in August 7-8 Treasurer Training Opportunity Totals 65!

ACM Vice President of Accounting, Theresa Edwards, led an information-packed program for a full audience at last week’s training opportunity:  "Treasurer's Orientation: A Tour of Your Financial Statements, Budgeting and Cash Management."

Nearly 50 Board members visited ACM Hanover offices on Thursday, August 7, for seminar sessions at 12:30 and 4:30.  Both seminar sessions featured training from Theresa on ACM financial reporting, systems and procedures, as well as a presentation from guest bank representative, Mark Kitsoulis, Vice President of American Bank .

Each session also included valuable information every Association Treasurer should know about conducting the yearly audit.  Presenting at the mid-day session was Jonathan Strauss, CPA, of Strauss & Associates, P.A.

The late-afternoon session auditor presentation was given by Samuel L. Dickey, CPA, MBA, of Dickey & Associates, LLC.

Both sessions were well received.  As one Board member commented, “Theresa was extremely helpful and answered all of my questions.”
As a convenient alternative, 15 additional Board members chose to join us from the comfort of a home or office computer on Friday, August 8, for a noon-time webinar.  Vice President Theresa presented a Powerpoint summary, condensing the training highlights of Thursday’s sessions.  If you were unable to join us and wish to view a recording of the webinar or receive training reference materials, email ACM Marketing Coordinator, Sara Rolf, at srolf@communitymanagers.net.
